Jolie, my officemate, told me that she wants her hair coloring done in HBC. She wants to try it because it's so cheap. So we went to HBC [Home of Beauty Exclusives] in Makati Cinema Square after our shift.
Let the pictures do the talking...
Jolie is excited for her hair coloring treatment. |
Jolie selected her shade. It's Light Chest Brown. The color kit is really cheap. It only costs less that PhP300. The packaging of the product is good. It looks expensive. The staff will tell you to pay for the color kit before they begin the treatment.

Hydrogen Peroxide solution at 9%. |
The hair coloring tube. It's small so if you have long hair, the staff might require you to buy 2 tubes. |
The coloring kit is very nice.... here comes the nice part -- the equipment!
Below is a photo of their shampoo sink. It looks old and dirty. It does not have water drainage system. You can clearly see that there's a big container at the bottom of the sink for the used water. Isn't very classy? Hahaha
On the other hand, the staff are very friendly and talkative. You will never get bored with their stories.

Jolie, are you scared? |
This is disgusting. Their tools look so dirty. I think they do not clean it. Look under the chair and you'll see their gloves. It's so gross -- so dugyot. It's already infested with fungus, bacteria and germs. Do they even have sanitary permit from the local government?
HBC in Makati Cinema Square does not have continuous water supply. You'll see a lot of dippers and buckets of water. The staff told us that they got the water from the nearby comfort room (Hahaha. This made me laugh!)
Jolie's hair with the dripping HBC Coloring Creme. The other customer smiles while her hair is being colored. |
Jolie looks very stressed during the hair coloring process. |
1. Ambiance = 1/10
2. Price = 10/10
3. Staff = 7/10
Will I go back: NO! I might try other branches like HBC Cash & Carry.
