Caracol is a Spanish term that means snail. Caracol Festival is an annual event in Makati City. It is their unique version of the Mardi Gras. This festival aims to address the awareness of protecting our environment.
It is my second time to witness this event and I really enjoyed it. In 2013, it was held in Makati's newly opened Circuit Makati. The parade was really good. I saw a lot street dancers in colorful, nature-inspired costumes. Most of the barangays/town and establishments in Makati participated in the event. It's a competition! The group with the best costume and performance will win.
All photos are taken with Sony A500 and Sony Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* DT 16-80mm F3.5-4.5.
